Step into a journey through pre-colonial African heritage with Milele Museum’s first virtual reality experience, launched in June 2023. This version features an engaging cave exploration exercise and immersive cultural stories from Rwanda, Kenya, and Nigeria.

To begin your experience, open the Milele_VR application on your PC. Then, connect your Oculus Quest 2 headset via USB and enable Oculus Link or Air Link. Your headset will automatically launch the virtual environment.

Once the download is complete, extract the contents to a folder on your PC. Inside, you’ll find the Milele_VR Unreal Engine application.

This version of Milele Museum is only compatible with Oculus Quest 2. For the best experience, ensure your headset and PC meet the minimum VR requirements. We hope you enjoy exploring our living archive of African knowledge and stories.
